From Local Brokerage to International Metal Trading Powerhouse

Shakeel Traders Group originated in 1952 by Haji Muhammad Sadiq renowned in Pakistan as Father of Metals Trading as a modest brokerage operation in Gujranwala, Pakistan, specializing in scrap material trading for domestic industry. Guided by honesty, integrity, and long-term relationships, the company expanded its clientele and capability through the decades.

Later the company was expanded by second generation, Haji Muhammad Shakeel (former president of The Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce & Industry) who transformed it from a domestic trader into an international metal trading and processing enterprise with operations and partners across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Today, the legacy is continued by third generation Mustafa Shakeel who introduced modern processing and an enduring commitment to industrial innovation.

Shakeel Traders Group Pakistan was founded by Muhammad Siddique renowned in Pakistan as Father of metals trading in Gujranwala as a small local brokerage firm dealing in scrap materials for regional industries.

The business grew through trust and honesty, expanding its clientele from small workshops to large industrial customers across Pakistan.

Entry of Second Generation

Muhammad Shakeel (former president of GCCI) joined the business and initiated the transition from domestic trading to international scrap sourcing and distribution.

First International Trade Activities

The company began importing non-ferrous scrap materials from the United Kingdom and mainland Europe, supplying major domestic smelters and manufacturers.

Early 1980s
Diversification
Diversification & Infrastructure Investment

Operations expanded into both ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. The company acquired 300 acres of land and established its own yards and furnaces to process materials.
